I’m just wondering – what will you do… ? what is the right thing to do… ???
I’m not at all comfortable advising people to stop paying taxes… but – wow… we are really going to have do a lot of repenting … if money that we have earned … and worked for – and entrusted to our government … is now going to be used for abortions…

I’m just saying… if we ever needed to repent … we better go ahead and start now… …

What do you think?

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

I think there is much prayer needed for this country.....wow that is not what I go to work for....The money I make should not be given to people who choose to murder a gift that is truly from God.....another human with a spirit..........I think much repenting is needed....on the behalf of the usa...

Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

I'm wondering if we should repent for not doing more to make sure that this Bill/Law is not passed in the 1st place... don't know quite what to do... but feeling like I should be doing something...

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

"Land of the free" free for Government to do what they want with our hard-earned money! Yes, give to Cease, what is for Caesar. However, when Cease, takes by force our pennies from heaven and uses them for evil... we then become as guilty as if we paid for the murder of a child and worse when we do nor say nothing we then send a message of "I don't care" if a child is being killed because of, whatever reason people get abortions, this sin that now we are forced to be a part of, it's a shame but true. Therefore, whose child are we going to murder next? "THOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER." is this one of our God, given commandments?

sorry, to be so bold, but, we are talking about the lives of innocent children, what if it were one of your own? would you then look at this issue differntly?

we know the problem. now, what is the solution?

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

I worked many years to save many pemature babies. These babies were 23-24 weeks gestational age. I just do not see how someone can say that these are not babies. They most surely are babies very tiny and precious. I do not want to pay to kill any baby. I would pray that this does not pass. Since I'm not sure how it should be handled by Christians if it is passed God help America

Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

Lourdes, I'm with you... agree with you ... but I don't have a solution as to what we should do... I'm hoping that a lil' converstaion will generate a lot of prayer and the result will be a GOD directed course of action...

Linda, thanks for you input... and your closeing statement is all too correct and to seldom stated... "GOD HELP America" ...
thanks

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

Hello i think we should really focus on the task at hand. This would be saving souls.Who are we to tell another human being what to do with there body and try to impose are superficial ideas as to what is wrong about abortions from our point of view. The ignorance of such people grate my nerves.Only god can direct peoples paths not preachers teachers or narrow minded people.Love the sinner hate the sin.

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

But why does the story of Jesus begin at his conception if that is not where life begins? And what if Mary had chosen to abort? After all, wouldn't she have had the 'right' to choose? Where would we all be now if she had? And as one ad put it, why is it a baby when its wanted and a mass of tissue when it's not?

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

It's a difficult subject and not a new one. Many felt during the Viet Nam war that they shouldn't pay taxes because they would be used for a war they disagreed with and felt was immoral. I'm sure there are many other examples. Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's" at a time in which the Roman Empire enslavedhundreds of thousands if not more,

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

were making war on weaker countries, worshipped Caesar as a God, as well as a host of Pagan deities, and generally sliding into unspeakable moral depravity. To me the point is clear. God established governments and they are accountable for what they do with what they are given just as we are. We aren't to suffer as evil doers because they may do something that's wrong. They have at times in they past and that hasn't gotten our backs up like the abortion issue. We aren't answerable for someone else's sin. The best way in this case is to fight this bill. Call your congressman or woman. Don't email them. Call them. It's not hard. Just tell them you don't want them to vote for the health care bill, they will ask your name and address. Be nice, say Thank you and good bye.

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

I think, and remember that these are just my thoughts, that we are required to obey the laws of the land and submitt to governing authorities as long as it does not go against the will of God. With that being said I know with all my heart that abortion is wrong and not approved by God. So me personally, I would not have a problem with telling people not to pay taxes because the laws of God supercedes the laws of man.

Edit Re: Abortion & paying Taxes

we've been paying taxes for abortions for YEARS! the federal gov't doesn't fund them directly, but, definitely indirectly...by funding state health care systems, and, almost all state health care plans cover abortions...and they have for years...the only reason this is a 'new issue' now, is because of the current healthcare debate...but the truth is, had this not taken place, you would have never known that you were already funding abortions with ur tax money AND with your insurance premiums!...so...sure, stop paying taxes and give up ur insurance hehe
